Warranty Policy

At Sunvanta, we stand behind the quality of our outdoor products. Our cantilever umbrellas, gazebos, and related items are designed for durability and long-term use.

Our Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

1. Sunvanta Product Warranty

In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Sunvanta provides a 5-year limited warranty from the date of delivery on eligible products.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, including:

  • Structural frame issues (e.g. bending, cracking, or failure not caused by external impact)
  • Manufacturing faults in key components
  • Fabric defects such as abnormal tearing or stitching failure under proper use
  • Mechanical issues affecting normal operation (e.g. crank system, tilt mechanism)

If a covered issue arises within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:

  • Provide replacement parts
  • Offer a product replacement
  • Issue a partial or full refund where appropriate

2. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not apply to damage caused by factors outside of normal use, including:

  • Improper installation or incorrect assembly
  • Lack of maintenance or misuse
  • Damage caused by strong winds, storms, or extreme weather conditions
  • Commercial use — this warranty applies to residential use only. For commercial use, your rights are governed solely by the Australian Consumer Law
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications

Important: For outdoor products such as cantilever umbrellas and gazebos, we strongly recommend closing and securing the product during windy conditions to prevent damage.

3. Warranty Conditions

To qualify for warranty support:

  • Proof of purchase (e.g. order confirmation or receipt) is required
  • The product must have been used in accordance with the provided care and assembly instructions
  • Any issue should be reported promptly after it is discovered

We reserve the right to assess the condition of the product before approving any warranty claim. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. After-Sales Support

If you experience any issues with your order, our support team is here to help.

To assist us in resolving your request quickly, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos or videos showing the problem (if applicable)

We aim to respond within one business day (AEST/AEDT) and will work with you to find a suitable solution.

5. Spare Parts & Repairs

For issues outside of warranty coverage, we may still be able to assist by offering replacement parts or repair solutions at a reasonable cost.
